Part of the Alscot Estate in Warwickshire, this is a modern day Georgian coaching inn with a friendly, easy-going atmosphere. The acclaimed Bell Inn offers all-day bar and dining across two floors, with outside seating overlooking the sprawling riverside meadow & Stour Valley, as well as luxury guestrooms.
There's a contemporary feel that goes well with the many original features; beams, standing timbers, flagstone floors and open fires. The cosy yet bustling bar serves Alscot Ale and Alscot Monkey (named for the pub from North Cotswold), North Cotswold Shagweaver Ale, Purity UBU, and a guest from Stratford upon Avon Brewery. There’s a choice of a dozen wines by the glass and cocktails! The spacious bar offer softer individual "lounge" style furniture mixed with comfortable brown leather armchairs in front of open fires, high bar chairs by the blue-painted counter and daily papers are available and background music.
The restaurant is brand new; The steel framed structure, with grey aluminium fascia and render façade, stands proud and impressive, yet neat, between the existing brick construction. Inside, the restaurant has large open spaces with a full height atrium and floor to ceiling glass panels and windows. It is effortlessly stylish without being pretentious. The space is planned carefully to offer comfort and modern luxury without compromising the characteristic spirit of the eighteenth century pub. The ground floor restaurant, decorated in soft pastels and silvers, with seating directly onto the terrace, serves everything from breakfast through to dinner. The top floor, with dark wooden floors inside and out, and polished copper tables, has panoramic views across the Stour Valley with its own seated balcony for additional dining, or Afternoon Tea. Doors lead out to the sought after, sophisticated and landscaped alfresco terrace and expansive gardens overlooking the rolling countryside is the envy of many, and a rarity for the area. The wood-fired handcrafted globe makes a fitting focal point for casual and relaxed drinking and dining.
The private dining room is to die for with a grand feature table laden with opulent bronze and copper accessories, and even comes with its own private decked area and lawned garden.
