Explore the ‘Original Wizarding World’ in one of Stratford’s best kept secrets:...

Magic Alley & The Creaky Cauldron is just a few short steps from Shakespeare’s Birthplace.

Spread over three floors in the only remaining part of Stratford’s historic White Lion Inn you’ll discover the most magical world you can imagine based on the bestselling Chronicles of Wizard’s Thatch by local author Dave Matthews.

The Chronicles unravel the lost years of William Shakespeare through a simple question: What if Shakespeare had been a time-travelling wizard?

In Magic Alley (which is definitely bigger on the inside) you’ll find Wartytoads Booksellers; The Creaky Cauldron Wand & Spell Shoppe and Wonderland Vintage Toys & Gifts. You can also explore the Enchanted Manor Museum, a magical blend of fairy-tales, time-travel and twistory that brings the spellbinding Chronicles to life with costumes, exhibits, behind the scenes extras and sneaky peaks at what’s still to come!

October sees Magic Alley packed to the rafters with pumpkins and Halloween goodies including our world-famous Spiced Pumpkin Juice! The Enchanted Manor gets a spooky makeover becoming ‘The Haunted Manor’ for 31 days of spook-tacular family friendly fun, with ghostly tales and ghastly surprises!

Then in November and December it becomes one of the ‘hottest’ tickets in town as the entire building is given a frosty makeover ready for the arrival of the real Father Christmas – an experience you really won’t want to miss and where you will truly believe. It really is where magic begins…
