The Rose & Crown hums with life all day long.  It’s the perfect spot for lunch or dinner in the richly-decorated restaurant or a drink in the lively bar.  The pub takes pride in making food using the best ingredients from ethical producers, freshly prepared and served in relaxed surroundings.

As well as being a great place to eat and drink, the pub's the perfect spot for an overnight stay whether you are visiting Warwick for pleasure or on business.  There are 13 lovely rooms, all en-suite and with plenty of home comforts.  Each is beautifully furnished with comfy beds, great linen and power showers.  Rates include a great breakfast to see you on your way.

Exit the M40 at Junction 15 and follow signs to Warwick. Past the castle car park entrance and up the hill to the West Gate, left into Bowling Green Street and then first right, follow the road until you see WH Smith. Bear right and The Rose & Crown is to your left in Market Square.  There is (extremely) short stay on street parking next to the pub. For longer-term parking, please use the surface car-park just off Bowling Green Street or the multi-storey car park in Linen Street. Both are less than 5 minutes walk.  Linen Street closes at 8pm. If you are staying with us, please park on a meter, drop your bags and we will give you directions to the best car park.

All the bedrooms are accessible only by stairs - there isn't a lift. 

Food and drink

We serve the good stuff.   All our meat is British and of the highest quality, from Aubrey Allen. This eighty year-old Warwickshire butcher supplies many of Britain’s finest restaurants as well as holding HM The Queen’s Royal Warrant.  Our steaks are from Britain’s finest (increasingly rare) beef herds, 28-day dry-aged for stupendous flavour.  Our Cotswold White chickens are free-range, as are our eggs, pork and ice-cream.  Our lamb is Cornish.  Our fish is native where possible, and we follow the ever-changing advice on sustainability.

Our head chef Leon Higham and his skilled brigade devise our seasonal menus and a range of tempting daily specials (check out our blackboards around the pub!).  As well as celebrating our increasingly-vibrant British food culture, the focus on seasonal ingredients means we buy the best stuff when it’s at the best price.  This way we keep prices sensible even though we’re buying top quality ingredients.

As well as serving our full menu at lunch and dinner, we have hot fresh food available throughout the day.  Starting with eggs and fresh sourdough bread for breakfast, accompanied by quality Union coffee made by our barista-trained team, we also serve cakes and a range of sandwiches and light hot dishes whenever you need them.

Work and relax at The Rose and Crown

You can work undisturbed in The Wood Shed, our private dining room, whenever you like.  Book it for free for meetings, conferences and workshops. Spread your work out over the large table or gather everyone around it, pour the freshly brewed coffee and you’re ready to go.​

With free WiFi and laptop compatible presentation facilities, our private dining room is the perfect venue for meetings and conferences. We can provide a variety of services to suit the needs of your event as well as good quality fresh food and drink on tap.
