Warwick Racecourse retains its historic charm and character. Nestled next to Warwick Castle, the racecourse is one of the oldest in the country, a course rich in tradition and heritage. The first ever reference to racing at Warwick appears in the County records of 1707 when Lord Brooke donated £15 ‘towards making a horse race.’ Warwick has since been the starting point for many famous legends, from racehorses Red Rum, Chandler, Virago and Golden Miller to jockeys Lester Piggott and AP McCoy.
